I am an acrylic and mixed media artist inspired by my surrounding views, color combinations & travels. I like to blur the lines with my art & get messy! I believe perfection is an illusion and hope my pieces evoke a freeing feeling!
Blair Newman is an accomplished artist and writer. Born and raised in Jasper, Alabama, she graduated from the University of Alabama and began her career as an advocate and fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation. After many adventurous around the globe, Blair and her family now call the small, lake town of Guntersville home. Blair utilizes many mediums in her paintings from acrylics to oils, crayon and paper pieces. Special “found items” sometimes make their way in to her work. Blair has written two children’s books, “The Adventures of Blair Bear and Nunny the Bunny” is a story based on her life-long lovey, Nunny. The second book, “Lily the Catfish”, was written for a non-profit in Guntersville, The Book Club of Guntersville. All proceeds fund scholarships for high school seniors. Blair is involved in her local arts community in Guntersville and Huntsville. In the past, she served several years on the board of Mountain Valley Arts Council, five as President. Her artwork has been featured on the cover of Huntsville City Lifestyle Magazine and she has been chosen as one of the featured artists for the 2025 Huntsville Symphony Orchestra and Violin Society’s Crescendo Auction.
