​Daniel Bowles, a 22-year-old artist enthusiast, has been creating art as long as he can remember. He became prolific in watercolor at an early age before diving into oil painting to test the limits of that medium. He now deeply invests in both artistic choices to display the wonder of the world to people in new and colorful ways. Daniel has always loved the great outdoors, which has given him a love of painting all things nature. His colorblindness has never stopped him but rather gives him a fun challenge to overcome, giving his pieces a unique and quite vibrant way of communicating what he calls ‘wonder’. ​

A little about me is that I have always loved creating. Growing up I loved to make things and soon channeled that energy into art. I create watercolor and oil landscapes, portraits, and animals as a way of representing the beauty and wonder in the world in colorful and energetic ways. A colorblind artist, I tend to paint more vibrantly than most, in a way that looks both natural to my eyes but brilliant and bright to others. My goal is to capture the curiosity of nature for others to soak their toes into, think deeply about, and find a wonder for the natural world as I do. ​
