Artful Entomology: A Lifelike Insect Workshop
Hosted by DeSoto State Park & Little River Arts Council
Slow down, look closer, and reconnect with your sense of wonder!
Step into the tiny, fascinating world of insects and bring it to life with felt, paint, wire, and a touch of imagination. In this hands-on workshop for teens & adults, you’ll create your own beautifully detailed moths, butterflies, dragonflies, and other miniature marvels using mixed media techniques.
Learn how to layer felt, sculpt expressive body shapes, blend rich color variations, and add delicate textures that make your creations feel wonderfully alive. We’ll transform simple materials into charming, display-worthy creatures full of personality and detail.. No experience needed—just a love of making and a sense of wonder.
